Perfect Fit
Our descriptions give accurate measurements of the garments on sale. Each garment is measured by hand. The key to a great fit is to know your measurements and how you like your jeans to fit, this ensures you get the exact fit you are after when buying online.
We recommend you measure your current favourites and keep these measurements handy to compare, when buying your next pair.
Most often Jeans are sized with 2 numbers Eg. 32/30 -The first number (W) refers to 'your' waist ( not the jeans size) and the second (L) Leg refers to the actual jeans inside leg measurement (or Inseam). Differences occur in all designs and from brand to brand so its always best to check first, if you have a favourite pair, measure them first and compare to those in your cart. Remember most jeans don't sit at your actual waist, so the actual waist measurement of each pair of jeans will vary, it is usually around 2-3" larger, than the actual size it is labelled, as most jeans don't sit at your actual waist but nearer to the hip. High Rise jeans will be the only exception.
Once you have these measurements shopping online is easy....
Waist
This is the marked jeans size, most commonly a number 22-50 (usually in Inches)- This number on the jeans tag refers to "your" actual waist and is not the actual measurement of the waistband of the jeans as the waistband doesn't always sit at the waist and depends on the rise of the jeans. Remember , most jeans measure around 2" Larger at waistband than your actual size. This is because of the changes in the Rise.
High Rise usually sit closer to waist, with a Mid Rise being halfway between waist and hips. Hipsters ( Low Rise) will sit at hips.
When measuring your waistband Lying Flat: Use a flexible Tape measure and pull the fabric taut. This measurement is great for comparing your old jeans to your new ones, but remember it will only be the exact same fit same if the Rise and the Fabric blend are also the same.
Inside Leg - (Inseam)
Take notice of this one, especially if you have shorter or longer legs, most jeans can be turned up or re- hemmed, but for off the shelf perfect fit get your inside measurement leg right.
Measure the crutch seam to the ankle hem with a flexible (dressmakers) tape measure Pulling the leg taught as you measure. Using a rigid ruler will be inaccurate, but may help with a a ballpark number.
Rise
Who do you prefer? Hipsters or High Waist?
It's all about this measurement. Basically the join or seam in crutch to top of waist- If you know where you like your jeans to sit, get to know this measurement, as this measurement will help find your perfect pair.
Material Content
How much stretch do you like? or maybe you like 100% cotton non stretch denim, which is the most hardwearing. Some denim can blend up to 5% Lycra/Elastane. With 1 or 2% being most common. The addition of Polyester also will give the jeans more stretch. The more stretch the softer they are but they also won't last as long due to the nature of the material blend and should be cared for more delicately. A general rule is "If it has stretch it should be worn fitted"

Size Conversion
Convert your size using this guide. This is based on the Tagged size of the jeans. Jean Sizing actually relates to 'your' waist and not the size the jeans measure, This is because most jeans do not sit at your actual waist.
Leg Length
The Inseam is your leg measurement and will tell you where your jeans will sit. It is measured from the Crutch seam to the hem of the jeans.
Jeans Rise
The Rise is important and tells you where the jeans will sit on your body. A high rise will sit at or near your actual waist. Mid Rise closer to your belly button and Low Rise will sit Low and near or on your hips,
