Kimora Lee Simmons launched the Baby Phat brand in 1999. The brand is a global lifestyle brand with a streetwear focus. Simmons, a former model and fashion designer, started Baby Phat by making baby tees with bedazzled logos. She was inspired to start the brand after buying kid's T-shirts with her friends and wearing them. Baby Phat became a staple of teen girls in the early 2000s. The brand was once estimated to be worth over $1 billion.
Other Baby Phat products: In 2005, Simmons released a perfume called Baby Phat Goddess. In 2024, Baby Phat reissued puffer jackets for the brand's 25th anniversary.
